Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Marin Treatment Center is the only Medi-cal covered Intensive Outpatient Program in the county providing Medication Assisted Treatment (Suboxone, Naltrexone or Antabuse), if indicated.
The Intensive Outpatient Program is an exciting new endeavor for Marin Treatment Center. In collaboration with the County of Marin, this program is designed to address the growing Opioid Epidemic. The number of people becoming addicted to prescriptions medications is on the rise. Oxycontin, Percocet, Vicodin are among the drugs being abused.
The program is designed for Marin County residents, persons who have Medi-Cal, and offers a sliding scale. Please contact us about private insurance coverage.
The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers treatment for adults who are suited to a more flexible type of care than an inpatient setting. IOP is an integrated program designed to meet the treatment needs of the whole person. We use a holistic treatment approach which considers the biological, psychological, social and spiritual aspects of each person in providing comprehensive and thorough treatment.
We begin with the premise of abstinence from all illicit substances. Using evidence based practices, our licensed and credentialed staff work with each client to design a treatment plan. The program provides support, structure, education and empathy to assist clients on the road of recovery.
Our Medical Director assesses each client and is able to provide Medication Assisted Treatment, if indicated (Suboxone, Naltrexone or Antabuse). Other medications may be approved by our Medical Director.
The effective and integrated program consists of 9 hours of treatment per week, (3 hours, 3 times a week) and includes the following components:
- Medical Evaluation
- Medication Assisted Treatment
- Group Counseling
- Chemical Dependency Education
- Bi-Weekly Family Groups
- Individual Counseling
- 12-Step Integration
- Relapse Prevention
- Urinalysis Testing
- Comprehensive Discharge Planning
